After the National Rally party of right-wing leader Marine Le Pen, who has a tough stand against refugees and illegal immigrants, won the first round of the French parliamentary elections, leftist parties have started violent protests. After the results of the first round of elections were announced, thousands of supporters of leftist parties and migrants gathered at Place de la République and demonstrated to prevent Pen’s party from coming to power. The second round of voting is to be held on Sunday.

Left parties say that they are ready to do anything to stop Penn’s party. Penn’s party and allies have got 33% votes in the first round of voting. Whereas, the leftist New Popular Front alliance has got 28% and President Macron’s Ensemble alliance has got 21% votes, which is in third place.

28-year-old Bardella can become France’s youngest PM

If Le Pen wins, 28-year-old Jordan Bardella can become the country’s youngest prime minister. He has played an important role in making the National Rally party a strong political party.

No one has majority in the exit poll

According to CNN report, exit polls suggest that the RN could win 230 to 280 seats in the 577-seat National Assembly after the second round of voting next Sunday, which is less than the 289 seats needed for an absolute majority. The left-wing alliance New Popular Front (NFP) is projected to get 125 to 165 seats, while Macron’s Ensemble and its allies could win 70 to 100 seats.

Elections for the European Parliament were held on 6 June

Earlier this month, elections were held for the European Parliament on June 6. During this time, France witnessed the most shocking political conditions. Here, the national rally of France’s far-right leader Marine La Pen gave a huge blow to Macron’s party. After this, the President surprised everyone by suddenly announcing national elections even before the final results were out. He had said, ‘I have decided that you choose your parliamentary future through vote. That is why I am dissolving the National Assembly. Far-right parties are moving ahead everywhere. These are such circumstances, which I cannot accept.’
