Fourteen Kosi Parikrama completed in Ayodhya, lakhs of devotees reached Ramnagari and all records were broken

UP News: The fourteen Kosi Parikrama of Ayodhya was completed on Sunday, in which more than 30 lakh devotees from different areas are estimated to participate. Officials gave this information on Sunday. According to an official statement issued here, Ayodhya District Magistrate (DM) Chandra Vijay Singh said that the parikrama was completed as per the auspicious time on Sunday and all previous records were broken with an estimated 30 to 35 lakh devotees participating.

He said that the event was conducted smoothly by ensuring tight security arrangements and no untoward incident was reported. For the first time after the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla, a huge crowd of devotees gathered for Parikrama in Ayodhya. Crowd started gathering since late night for the Parikrama which started at the auspicious time, many devotees enthusiastically chanted ‘‘Jai Shri Ram’’ Cheered and he covered the distance of 42 kilometers in just five hours.

Officials said that after taking a holy bath in the Saryu river in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, lakhs of devotees started Chaudah Kosi Parikrama on Saturday evening amid tight security. The statement said that the Chief Minister Following the instructions of Yogi Adityanathadministrative and police officers were seen inspecting throughout the night.

The official said that to ensure that the devotees do not face any kind of problem, the senior officials also remained alert in the fair area throughout the night. According to the information received so far, about 30 to 35 lakh devotees are expected to do the parikrama. This is the first time that devotees have circumambulated more than five thousand temples including the grand temple of Lord Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya.

Refreshments were arranged by various organizations for the devotees on the entire parikrama path. Seeing the importance of Chaudah Kosi Parikrama, a large number of outside devotees reached Ayodhya. Apart from the districts of Mandal, devotees also arrived from Nepal including Bahraich, Sitapur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Gonda, Prayagraj and other districts. Some devotees will return only after doing Panchkosi (15 km) Parikrama on November 12.
