The NEET-UG paper leak manipulation case is still hot. At the same time, an education related case has also come to light in Haryana. A big update has come in the case of fake admission of 4 lakh children in primary schools in Haryana. Now in this case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against the officials of the Primary Education Department of Haryana.

The CBI was investigating this case on the orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The CBI was investigating the case since 2019. Now after almost five years, a case has been registered in the matter.

The CBI has registered a case under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act against officials of the department on charges of fake admission of 4 lakh students in government schools of Haryana state between 2014-16 and withdrawing money in the name of fake students.

The case is from the year 2016

The case dates back to 2016 when the Haryana government filed an appeal to save the guest teachers. During this time, some shocking figures came before the court. The court found that in 2014-15, there were 22 lakh students in government schools whereas in 2015-16, their number had come down to just 18 lakh.

The High Court had asked the Haryana government where four lakh children suddenly disappeared, to which the Haryana government was unable to give a satisfactory answer. On this, the High Court had directed the Haryana government to take strict action against those who had usurped government funds by making four lakh fake admissions.
