The day is not far when Vande Bharat trains will run on foreign soil also because its demand is increasing rapidly in foreign countries also. Countries like Canada, Chile, Malaysia have shown interest in importing Vande Bharat trains from India. According to sources, Vande Bharat has many features but its low cost is the biggest reason for its attraction. The price of such trains manufactured in other countries is around Rs 160-180 crore, whereas the Vande Bharat train here comes for Rs 120-130 crore. The speed of Vande Bharat Express train also makes it very attractive. This is the second biggest success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make in India policy after Tejas fighter jet.
Low energy consumption and a hundred times less noise than aircraft
The design of Vande Bharat Express train is also quite attractive. Its specialty is that it experiences 100 times less noise than an aircraft and its energy consumption is very low.
Accels speed in less time than Japan’s bullet train
Vande Bharat train takes less time to reach speed than Japan’s bullet train. According to sources, Vande Bharat takes just 52 seconds to reach 0 to 100 kmph. Whereas Japan’s bullet train takes 54 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km per hour.
Railways is rapidly expanding the track
While Indian Railways is working towards increasing the sufficient number of Vande Bharat trains, it is also expanding the track network. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that more than 31,000 kilometers of tracks have been added in the last 10 years and their target is to add 40,000 kilometers of additional tracks.
