Honor 6X There will be two variants of the handset. One will be equipped with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and the other will have 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. We expect the 3 GB RAM variant to be sold in India for less than Rs 15,000. Both variants will be available in Grey, Silver and Gold colour variants. We spent some time with the Chinese unit of the handset in Mumbai before the CES announcement. Now we will share our experience with you. This smartphone has been designed keeping the youth in mind. This phone has two rear cameras.
The Honor 6X has a metal back panel. Its edges are curved, but it gets stained easily. The design of the front panel is such that the Honor 6X feels sturdy. Despite the 5.5-inch screen, there is no problem in using it with one hand. You will get onscreen Android navigation buttons in it. There is nothing amazing in the design. But it looks good and gives a feeling of satisfaction.
The power and volume buttons are on the right side and are easy to reach. The fingerprint sensor is on the back panel, just below the camera lens. The hybrid SIM tray is on the left side. This means you can use only one of the second SIM and a microSD card. A speaker and micro-USB port are at the bottom of the handset. And the 3.5mm audio socket is on the top.
Honor 6X runs on EMUI 4.1 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. You will find many apps pre-installed. Due to this, the user interface feels a bit cluttered. At the same time, the custom icons and graphics have been kept very simple and polished. Due to this, it is easier to use. The notification drawer has been customized a lot.
The performance is good. But we will give our final verdict only after doing benchmark tests. You will also get a 3340 mAh battery.
The 5.5-inch full-HD screen is very sharp and saturated. Our experience with it was satisfactory. On the rear, one sensor is of 12 megapixels and the other is of 2 megapixels. The second sensor will be used for depth sensing. With its help, the camera app of Honor 6X allows you to make various changes in the photo after taking the photo. It works best in close up shots. We will tell about the performance of the camera in detail in the review.
The Honor 6X will compete with many great phones, but it seems that this phone will also be popular. Wait for Gadgets 360’s review in which we will tell you about the pros and cons of the Honor 6X.
