Punjab Panchayat Elections 2024: There was a clash between leaders of Aam Aadmi Party and Congress over filing nomination for Panchayat elections in Zira town of Firozpur district of Punjab. Firozpur SSP Soumya Mishra has also reacted regarding this. He said that there has also been an incident of stone pelting between the leaders of both the parties. The police immediately took cognizance of the matter and took action. At present the situation is under control.

Meanwhile, the media questioned SSP Soumya Mishra that former Congress MLA from Zira and District Congress President Kulbir Singh Zira is alleging that he was attacked by gangsters in the presence of the police. Responding to this he said that here everything happened in front of the camera. They were coming with their candidates to get their nominations done. Currently busy investigating from all angles. The police have done their job flawlessly. The police came forward and controlled the entire situation. Action has been taken to prevent clashes. An FIR will be registered in the matter soon and action will be taken against the accused.
