Firozabad bike thief died due to police beating, body marks injury at 14 places, Dalit community protested ann

Firozabad News: A youth named Akash, resident of Himyapur Nagla Pachhiya of Thana Dakshin area in Firozabad, was arrested by the police on 17th for motorcycle theft. After that, he was kept in the police station till 19th and beaten up and sent to jail. His health deteriorated in jail and he was admitted to the hospital. Where he died. When the post-mortem was done, injury marks were found at 14 places on his body. Due to this, the family members have alleged that the police have beaten Akash to death. Such people should be hanged.

The people of the Dalit community got angry over this and pelted stones and resorted to arson on the 21st. The wife of the prisoner Akash, Preeti, has also accused the police of beating her husband to death. Akash has two children, Ayush is 6 years old and his daughter Priya is 1.5 years old. The police officers have also given Rs 5 lakh as compensation to the family of the deceased Akash for this entire incident. But even now his family members are demanding action against the guilty policemen.

Police filed a case against 32 people
On 21st June, a government ambulance was vandalised in stone pelting and arson over the death of accused Akash. After this, the South Police Station and the ambulance driver have filed a case for setting fire to police motorcycles and pelting stones. A case has been filed against 32 people including District Panchayat member Pravesh Kumari and councilor Sangh Mitra. A report has been filed against 40 to 50 unknown people. The police have also identified more than 30 people on the basis of CCTV cameras.

Since the accused Akash belongs to the Jatav community, politics of Dalit leaders has also started in this. First, Bhim Army made statements about Akash, then Samajwadi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Ramjilal Suman is also demanding the arrest of the culprits. Now Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has also posted on the social media site X that strict action should be taken against the culprits.
