What does Elon Musk want to do?
Elon Musk’s company Neuralink wants to bring such a device in the market, which can control computers and mobile phones directly through brain activity. That means you will be able to operate your smartphone just by thinking. Disabled people and people suffering from paralysis will benefit the most from this device.
What is Neuralink claiming?
Neuralink says its aim is to make life easier for people suffering from neurological disorders. How much success he will achieve in this cannot be predicted yet. In February last year, it was revealed that when the company’s chip was used on monkeys, many monkeys had died. The company was accused of animal cruelty. However Musk rejected the allegations.
In May last year, the company was given approval for testing on humans. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave approval for in-human clinical trials, after which the first implant has now been made.

Its name is ‘Prime Study’, which is a 6 year long experiment. The company has made a 4mm-square chip. It is called N1. It is implanted inside the brain. The wires in the chip reach the brain and receive its signals.
