From today, helicopters of eight helicopter companies will fly to Kedarnath. Now it will be easy for the passengers to reach the Dham, and the journey will also gain speed. Till now only two companies were operating flights from Guptkashi and Shersi.
On Saturday, helicopters of six helicopter companies have reached Kedarghati. Nodal officer of Kedarnath helicopter service and district tourism and adventure sports officer Rahul Chaubey said that helicopters of Thambi, Pawanhans, Crystal, Aero, Global Vectra and Aryan company have also reached Kedarghati.
Helicopters of these companies will fly to Guptkashi, Maikhanda, Jamu, Shersi etc. He said that these companies had gone back after the completion of the first phase of the journey from 20 June to 3 July. Helicopters of Himalayan Heli and Trans Bharat Company kept flying during the monsoon season.
He informed that since the opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham on 10th May, more than 70 thousand pilgrims have reached Kedarnath by helicopter and have taken darshan. At the same time, more than 69 thousand pilgrims have returned after taking darshan.
