Donald Trump Shooting: Former US President Donald Trump was attacked during an election rally on Saturday (13 July). He survived the attack, but the bullet grazed his ear. The attacker shot Trump from a distance, due to which the bullet did not hit Trump directly. At the same time, it is now being said that Trump was not hit by a real bullet, but he was hit by pieces of glass, due to which his ear started bleeding.

Donald Trump has described the attack on him as an attempted murder on the social media platform ‘Truth Social’. He has described how he felt during the attack. Trump claimed that the bullet grazed his ear, causing bleeding. However, news website RawStory has said that law enforcement officials have reportedly told two sources that Trump was not shot, but he was injured due to glass fragments.

Pieces of glass hit Trump: Pennsylvania Police

In its report, RawStory has quoted ‘Newsmax’ reporter Alex Salvi and ‘Axios’ Julie Grace Brufke as saying that Trump was not shot. Pennsylvania police sources have told reporters that Donald Trump was not shot, but the bullet fired towards him hit the teleprompter present there. Due to this, the glass of the teleprompter broke and its pieces flew and hit the former president. However, complete information has not been revealed yet.

What did Trump say about the attack?

However, Donald Trump says that he has been shot. After the attack, he said, “I was shot, which pierced the upper part of my right ear. I immediately knew something was wrong. I heard a wheezing sound, a bullet was fired and immediately realized that the bullet was ripping my skin. There was a lot of bleeding, then I realized what was happening.” Trump is currently safe and has been discharged from the hospital after treatment.
