Donald Trump injured in shooting: There was a shooting at the election rally of former US President Donald Trump, in which he has been injured. He had arrived to address an election rally in Butler city of Pennsylvania on Saturday (July 13) as per local time, when the firing started there. The former president has been injured in this attack. According to news agency AFP, blood was seen on his face. He was immediately taken down from the stage safely by the security.

A video of the shooting at Donald Trump’s election rally has also surfaced, in which Trump can be seen bleeding from his ear. During this, Secret Service personnel are taking him down safely from the stage. Trump’s spokesperson has said, “Donald Trump has thanked law enforcement and first responders for taking immediate action during this heinous attack. He is fine and is being examined at a local medical facility.”

The incident is being investigated as an attempt to assassinate Trump

Butler County District Attorney Richard A. Goldinger said the attacker was shot dead. He said one person present at the election rally was killed and another may have been killed. Officials who have been briefed on the incident say the shooting is being investigated as a possible attempted murder. Officials said the shots were apparently fired from outside the security perimeter.

Seven or eight rounds of bullets were fired: eyewitness

The former president’s son Donald Trump Jr. told ABC News that he has spoken to his father. He is still in the hospital. Trump Jr. said that his father’s willpower is very strong, he is currently under observation. Dave McCormick, an eyewitness present at the scene and contesting for the US Senate, said that he was sitting in the first row at the rally, when seven or eight rounds of bullets were fired. There was a stampede among the people and everyone lay down on the ground.

What happened during the election rally?

Donald Trump had come to address an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He is the Republican Party’s presidential candidate. Trump started his speech at 6 pm local time, when the sound of gunfire started coming. Hearing this, the Secret Service personnel guarding Trump immediately took action and surrounded him. After this, Trump was brought down from the stage while forming a security cordon. Then he was immediately made to sit in the car.

The Secret Service said in a statement, “An incident occurred at Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on the evening of July 13. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when it becomes available.”

There is no place for such violence in America: Biden

US President Joe Biden has condemned the shooting at Trump’s rally. He said, “There is no place for such violence in America. This is a disturbing incident. This is one of the few reasons on which the country should unite. We cannot let this happen. We cannot be like this. We cannot even forgive this.” He said that the former President is with the doctors and he seems fine.

Biden said, “The main thing is that Trump’s rally should have been held peacefully without any trouble. But this kind of political violence happens in America, which is absolutely unheard of and not appropriate. Everyone should condemn it. Everyone.” He further said, “Every agency of the federal government is investigating the matter and they are being given the latest report.”
