The attacker who shot the former president has been identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who is a resident of a place called Bethel Park.
Bethel Park is a village located in the state of Pennsylvania. The village is 40 miles south of the site of the incident. Donald Trump was attacked when he was addressing an election rally in the state’s Butler city. A bullet was fired at Trump, which grazed his ear. After this attack, Secret Service snipers immediately killed the attacker. An AR-style rifle has also been recovered from the attacker.
The reason for the attack on Trump has not been revealed yet
According to the Washington Post, it is not yet known why Matthew attacked Trump. One person attending the rally died in this attack, while two others were seriously injured.
