Dombivli Blast: 10 people have died in the explosion and fire incident in a chemical company in Dombivali. And many people have been injured. After this incident, Thane’s Manpada police has registered an FIR. According to the FIR, a case has been registered under sections 304, 324, 326, 285, 286, 427 and 34 of the IPC.

In the FIR, the police said that the blast and fire started from Amudan Chemical Private Limited. Therefore, the names of the company’s owners Malti Pradeep Mehta and Malay Pradeep Mehta, along with the company’s director, administrator and other officials are written in the FIR. The police has registered a suo moto FIR after the incident. The police itself is the complainant in this.

In the FIR lodged in connection with the explosion in a chemical factory in Dombivali of Thane district in Maharashtra, it has been alleged that the factory owners did not take precautions in mixing and storing chemicals despite knowing that there is a risk of explosion in case of any mistake. 10 people have died and more than 60 people have been injured in the explosion in the factory.

The FIR names the company’s owners/directors Malti Pradeep Mehta, Mayal Pradeep Mehta and other directors, management staff and officers who were responsible for monitoring the factory.

A case has been registered against them under culpable homicide and other charges. The FIR was registered by the Manpada police in Maharashtra’s Thane district at around 1.50 am on Thursday night, nearly 12 hours after the blast at the Amudan Chemicals unit located in ‘Phase-2’ of Dombivli MIDC area.

The accused have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including culpable homicide not amounting to murder (Section 304), voluntarily causing hurt and negligence with respect to inflammable and explosive substances.
