The second soldier from Jhunjhunu who was martyred in the attack, Ajay Singh Naruka, had already been granted leave to go home before his martyrdom, but perhaps nature had something else in store. Ajay Singh agreed to stay for three days for the terrorist operation and during this time he was martyred.

Ajay Singh Naruka, a 26 year old youth from Bhasavata Kalan village of Jhunjhunu, was passionate about joining the army since childhood. His father Kamal Singh Naruka is also retired from the army.

Kamal Singh was also posted in Jammu and Kashmir. His father advised Kamal Singh to take up another job but he refused and joined the army in 2018. Now the entire village is mourning his martyrdom. Ajay was the son of the entire village.

There has been martyrdom in the family before Ajay
Ajay got married two and a half years ago and he has no children. Many people in Ajay’s family are in the army and there have been martyrdoms in the family before Ajay.
