DMRC campaign against reels maker in Delhi Metro ann

Delhi Metro News: Often people are seen making reels, doing obscene acts or violating the rules inside the Delhi Metro. Many times such reels or absurd acts also go viral on social media. Which not only causes embarrassment to DMRC, but also causes inconvenience to metro passengers. In view of which, DMRC has launched a campaign against such people and till now has registered a case against 1647 people and also imposed fine on them.

DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar said that the data of only those who make reels is not available separately, but the people against whom action has been taken include many actions in cases like creating nuisance, sitting on the floor of the train and eating inside the train. They have been fined under Section 59 of the Metro Railway Act for causing nuisance to 1647 passengers. The official said that last year also DMRC had taken action against 1600 passengers in such cases.

CCTV keeping an eye on miscreants

According to DMRC, 610 cases of nuisance were registered in April, 518 in May and 519 in June. There are also provisions for punitive action against those who do this. Every day about 67 lakh people travel by metro, so monitoring everyone is quite difficult, but through CCTV they can detect any incident happening in the premises.

DMRC’s campaign against making reels

The DMRC has also put up posters at several metro station premises of the Delhi Metro to prevent passengers from making reels and causing inconvenience to co-passengers. The official said that both online and offline campaigns are being run to prevent passengers from indulging in any activity that may cause inconvenience to other passengers.
