New Delhi. ‘Kamdhenu Deepawali Abhiyan’ has been started with the aim of competing with Chinese items on Diwali, making it a source of income for cow shelters and spreading the importance of cow dung among people. This campaign has been started by the National Kamdhenu Commission (RKA). Under this campaign, 12 items related to Diwali have been specially made from cow dung. Women groups were first linked and trained to make items. After that, the groups were linked to cow shelters in every city. Items were prepared. The prepared items are being sold among the people with the help of mutual public relations and local markets.
These 12 items are made for Diwali -RKA President Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria says that before the ‘Kamadhenu Diwali Abhiyan’, we had run the Gaumaya Ganesh Abhiyan on the instructions of PM Narendra Modi. Idols were prepared by mixing cow dung. After the success of the campaign, preparations have now been made for Diwali. Special diyas, candles, incense sticks, agarbatti, Shubh-Labh, Swastika, Samrani, hardboard, wall-piece, paper-weight, havan samagri, idols of Lord Lakshmi-Ganesh have been made for Diwali. This campaign will also promote Panchagavya products.

Diwali will be lit up with 33 crore diyas in 11 crore families – The President of RKA says that although the more goods are made according to the demand, the better it is. But still we have set a target. Like we have set a target to deliver 33 crore diyas made of cow dung to 11 crore families of the country. Out of this, we have already received an order for 3 lakh diyas from Ayodhya and one lakh from Varanasi. Our biggest motive behind this is to eliminate the diyas made in China and open avenues of employment for our people.
These have been added to ‘Kamadhenu Deepawali Abhiyan’ to increase employment – RKA President says that although the number of products made and the number of people making them may be less in the beginning, but our aim is to increase it and deliver these 12 items made from cow dung to every Indian household. Due to this, in the initial initiative to increase employment and connect every Indian with this campaign, we are continuing the campaign to connect other people like dairy farmers, unemployed youth, women and young entrepreneurs, cow shelters, cowherds, self-help groups etc.
