Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has offered to resign. He said that he is taking responsibility for the party’s defeat in Maharashtra. He said that he feels that he has missed something. Fadnavis has appealed to the party’s top leadership to relieve him from the post. He said that he wants to fully concentrate on the preparations for the assembly elections.

The BJP leader said, “I take responsibility for such results in Maharashtra. I was leading the party. I appeal to the BJP high command to remove me from responsibility in the government so that I can work hard for the party in the upcoming assembly elections.”

The Deputy CM said, “The counting went on till late last night. We fought against three parties in the state. We will go back to the people after rectifying our mistake. There was talk of changing the constitution. We could not counter it. The Bharatiya Janata Party and the NDA got the votes.”
