Delhi Weather Update: It rained in the national capital Delhi on Wednesday (17 July), but still this rain could not provide relief to the people of Delhi from humidity. Delhi is facing the heat and humidity these days. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be drizzle in some areas of Delhi NCR today (18 July).
According to the Meteorological Department, the sky is expected to remain cloudy in Delhi today. Today, the maximum temperature here can go up to 37 degrees and the minimum temperature can go up to 29 degrees. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has predicted lightning. An official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that there is no warning of heavy rain in Delhi at present. The IMD said that its forecasts are based on the analysis of various models and other measurements which sometimes do not match.
What will the weather be like this week?
According to the weather department, clouds may remain over Delhi-NCR throughout the week and may play hide and seek with the sun, but the chances of good rain are less. IMD has said that there is a possibility of moderate rain today on Thursday, light rain on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well, but the weather may change next week i.e. on Monday and there may be heavy rain. Then the temperature will gradually decrease and it may reach 32 degrees Celsius.
According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, July and August are the rainiest months for Delhi, which normally receives 209.7 mm and 233.1 mm of rain. This is much less than half in the first 15 days of the month. Rainfall is likely to remain light for the next few days and is likely to pick up by July 21-22, 2024.
