Delhi minister Atishi inspected repair work at Chandrawal water treatment plant

Delhi News: Earlier, there was an uproar in the capital Delhi due to water crisis. Minister Atishi even sat on a hunger strike demanding water from Haryana. Now, the problem of waterlogging has arisen due to heavy rains with the onset of monsoon in Delhi. Due to rain, there is news of water filling in the pumping house of the water treatment plant, due to which the motors have been damaged. Minister Atishi visited the treatment plant and inspected the repair work.

Atishi wrote on ‘X’, “Due to unexpected rains, water filled in the pumping house of Chandrawal Water Treatment Plant and damaged the motors. Due to this, supply was disrupted in many parts of Central Delhi. Jal Board has worked quickly to solve this problem and the plant has been repaired about 80%, and soon the supply will be normal. ”

Inspection of water plant
Atishi said, “Today I inspected the plant and ordered the officials to repair the pump house as soon as possible, and with joint inspection ensure that this problem does not recur at any plant in future.”

Atishi also visited Minto Bridge
Minister Atishi visited the Minto Bridge underpass after the waterlogging situation there. Atishi tweeted after the inspection, “Despite having an automatic pump house and alarm system at the Minto Bridge underpass, this time the problem of waterlogging occurred here due to 228 mm of rain in a short time. Inspected the pump here with PWD officials, and ordered that every necessary step should be taken along with new technology and increasing the capacity of the existing pump to prevent waterlogging at this underpass.
