Regarding Kanwar Yatra, the Commissionerate Police has issued a route diversion plan for heavy vehicles. Entry of heavy vehicles will be banned in Ghaziabad from 12 o’clock on Sunday night. These vehicles will move forward through other alternative routes. Heavy vehicles will also not be able to go towards Meerut from Delhi-Meerut Expressway. This diversion plan will be applicable till 8 pm on August 5. Apart from this, route diversion has been implemented in Hapur and Bulandshahr districts. Entry of heavy vehicles has been banned on NH-9 in Hapur, while after July 26, the highway and city routes will also be made one-way.
