Delhi News: The accused who created panic by reporting a bomb in flight AC043 from Delhi to Toronto on June 4 has been arrested by the police of Indira Gandhi International Airport. The accused, who hails from Meerut, is just 13 years old. The minor had sent an email about a bomb in the flight from Delhi to Toronto. According to DCP Usha Rangnani, the police of the Airport Police Station received an email at 11:30 pm on June 4.

It was informed through mail that there was a bomb in flight AC043 from Delhi to Toronto. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, emergency was declared at the airport. During investigation, it was found that the mail was fake. A case was registered at IGI Airport police station and a police team was deployed to catch the accused. During investigation, it was found that the mail ID created 1-2 hours ago was also deleted. Police took the help of technical surveillance. Two mobile numbers linked to the mail ID were found. Tracking the location from the mobile numbers, Delhi Police reached Meerut and caught the accused. The arrested accused turned out to be a minor.

Information about a bomb in a flight caused a stir in Toronto

During interrogation, the 13-year-old minor told that he had sent the email about the bomb for fun. A few days ago, he had seen a fake news about a bomb in a flight at Mumbai airport. The minor wanted to see if the police could trace him or not. He created a fake email ID using WiFi from his mother’s mobile and sent the fake email about the bomb and then deleted it. The next day, he became happy after seeing the news about the bomb in the flight. He did not even inform his parents. The police presented the accused in the Juvenile Justice Board. After that, the minor was handed over to his family.
