Mera Rang Foundation will organize a seminar on Saturday on the topic of increasing violence against women and the role of media. The seminar will be held at the India International Center (IIC) from noon. Amar Ujala is the media associate in this.
Senior journalist Sujata Madhok, journalist working on social justice and human rights Priyanka Dubey, poet-feminist critic and professor at DU Sujata, writer Prof. Kaushal Panwar, writer and AAP MLA Dilip Pandey and advocate and social worker Azad Singh will be included.
Amar Ujala Thap Award-winning writer Anu Shakti Singh will moderate the seminar. On this occasion, former women chief of Ghaziabad Arnima Tyagi will be given the Rang Sahas Award for the year 2024.
Shalini Srinet, founder of Mera Rang Foundation, an organization that has been working for gender discourse and women empowerment for the last eight years, said that the incidents of violence against women in the country have increased in the last few years. In such a situation, the role of media becomes important.
