Delhi Man Slit Daughters Throat: On the occasion of Father’s Day on 16 June, sons and daughters across the country including Delhi were sharing pictures with their fathers. They were writing special messages for their fathers. On the other hand, in the national capital, a father killed his own daughter on the same day. According to the information, a man allegedly slit his daughter’s throat with a weapon and threw her body in a field in Rohini.
According to a PTI report, the police gave information on Monday (17 June) that the girl was found soaked in blood in a field in Chandpur village of Kanjhawala area on Sunday, with multiple stab wounds. This incident was reported on Father’s Day, which is celebrated on 16 June. It is being told that the girl wanted to marry a boy from another caste against the wishes of the family.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Guriqbal Singh Sidhu said the 46-year-old father has been arrested and a cab driver has been detained for questioning. The DCP said the police received a call about the incident at 8.53 pm on Sunday, following which a police team immediately reached the spot and found a woman with deep injuries on her neck and abdomen. She was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead.

The police officer said that considering the sensitivity of the case, several police teams were formed. CCTV footage of the area was analysed. The police traced the registration number of the cab used by the father-daughter duo. Another police officer said that based on technical evidence, the police identified the woman and found that the man was her father. The father was picked up by the police team on Monday morning and he confessed to the crime.
He told the police that he had picked up his daughter from his son’s house in Narela on Sunday evening, the official said. According to the police, the man hired a cab to go to his house in Prem Nagar but had a quarrel with his daughter over some issue on the way. He asked the driver to drop them in Kanjhawala when he allegedly took her to a field, slit her throat and stabbed her multiple times, killing her on the spot. The accused told the police that the family is native of Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
