Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal applies for bail in court over Tihar jail

Arvind Kejriwal News: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal filed a bail plea in the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday (May 30). Meanwhile, CM Kejriwal has said that he is ready to go to jail.

He said, “I am fully prepared to go to jail on June 2. I am proud that I am going to jail to save the country. These people are saying that Kejriwal has committed corruption. People are saying that if Kejriwal is corrupt then no one is honest. They do not have a single proof, they say that 100 crores were stolen, raids were conducted at 500 places. Not a single penny was found. The money vanished into thin air.”

Will have to surrender on June 2

During this time, the Chief Minister will not go to the office and will not sign the file. If needed, permission of the Lieutenant Governor will have to be taken.

Recently, CM Kejriwal appealed to extend the interim bail period for seven days on health grounds. However, the Supreme Court refused to hear the case immediately. ED arrested Arvind Kejriwal on March 21.

Talking to news agency PTI, Arvind Kejriwal said, “In a TV interview, the Prime Minister was asked that Kejriwal is saying that you do not have any proof. So the PM admitted that yes we do not have any proof, no recovery has been done because Kejriwal is an experienced thief. In front of the whole country, the PM admitted that he does not have any proof. Then why did he arrest us? Because the work that Kejriwal does, Modi cannot do.”

He said, “We built schools, hospitals… Modi cannot do this. That is why he was put in jail. Aam Aadmi Party is raising its voice against his dictatorship. He wants to silence my voice. No power in the world can break it. I am Bhagat Singh’s disciple, if I have to go to jail 100 times to save the country, I will go.”
