Udham Singh Nagar News: Anti-social elements had conspired to cause a major accident by placing a 15 feet long thick wire of 35 KV line on the railway track near Khatima railway station in the border area of Uttarakhand. On Sunday, the loco pilot of the train going from Tanakpur to Dehradun stopped the train by applying emergency brakes, which averted the accident. The thick wire was picked up from the track and deposited at Banwas railway station. Railway Police and Uttarakhand Police have started investigating the matter.
Anti-social elements had placed a 15 feet long 35 KV line wire on the railway track near Khatima railway station in Udham Singh Nagar district. A major train accident could have occurred due to the wires lying on the railway track, but due to the wisdom of the loco pilot of the train going from Tanakpur to Dehradun, the accident was avoided. After taking the emergency brake, the loco pilot stopped the train and picked up the wire lying on the track and handed it over to Banwas Railway. On receiving information about the same incident, Railway Police, Uttarakhand Police and all the Railway officials inspected the spot and started investigating the matter. The police is busy investigating the CCTV camera footage installed around the tracks.
SP said – strict action will be taken against the culprits
SP City Manoj Katyal said that the local police has started investigating the matter. Soon the culprits will be arrested and strict action will be taken against them. Let us tell you that on September 19, anti-social elements had placed a pole on the railway track, a few kilometers away from Rudrapur Railway. The accident was averted due to the alertness of the loco pilot of the Naini Jan Shatabdi Express coming at night, after which the loco pilot informed the officials of Rudrapur Junction about the matter. After getting information about the matter, Railway Police and all the Railway officials reached the spot and started investigating the matter. And after investigation, two accused were arrested.
