Rajasthan News Today: The Mahila Congress has announced a big protest against the government against the increasing atrocities and criminal incidents against women in the country. This protest will be led by All India Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba. Two thousand women from Rajasthan will participate in it.
A huge demonstration will be organized by Mahila Congress against the Central Government on 29th July at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Regarding this, State Mahila Congress President Rakhi Gautam said that 20 thousand cases of crime against women have been reported in Rajasthan in 6 months.
Rakhi Gautam alleged, “Increasing crimes against women are the most important issue and the government is silent on this.” She said, “For the political empowerment and participation of women, the Women’s Reservation Act will have to be implemented immediately. In this, reservation and participation of our OBC sisters from the most backward class will have to be ensured.”
‘We will remove the blindfold from the government’s eyes on women’s issues’
Congress Women District President from Kota Shalini Gautam said that under economic empowerment, half of the country’s population is struggling with rising inflation and unemployment. She said, “To provide relief under Nari Nyay, one woman from every poor family should be given Rs 1 lakh annually or Rs 8500 per month under the Mahalakshmi Yojana.”
Shalini Gautam demanded that this money be given directly to their bank accounts. Shalini said that Mahila Congress will remove the blindfold from the eyes of the government by organizing a huge demonstration in Delhi on these main issues. A large number of women from Rajasthan Pradesh Mahila Congress will participate in this demonstration.
‘33% women reservation should be implemented soon’
Congress leader Rakhi Gautam said that our demand is that the 33% law that has been brought for women should be implemented soon. Secondly, the participation of OBC women should also be ensured in it. She said that how did the law become so harsh that the voice of women is not reaching them.
Rakhi Gautam said that the situation where the government is located is not hidden from anyone. Sisters and daughters are being buried alive for raising their voice for their rights. It cannot be a matter of shame that half the population of this world has to see this.
‘Rajasthan is number one in atrocities against women’
State Women Congress President Rakhi said that in the last seven months, cases of atrocities against women have increased in Rajasthan. This figure has crossed 18 thousand and Rajasthan has become number one in atrocities against women. An attempt will be made to wake up the government in Delhi regarding all these demands.
