Rajasthan Protest: Congress MLA from Dungarpur, Vagad, Ganesh Ghoghra sat on a dharna with his supporters. Other local people also joined them. The supporters raised their demands while raising slogans. Ganesh Ghoghra recently came into limelight when Congress Rajasthan state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa issued a show cause notice to him. Slogans raised regarding illegal recovery
In fact, MLA Ganesh Ghoghra along with his supporters and some people reached outside the Mining Department office and sat on strike. His supporters raised slogans against illegal recovery. When the officer could not be found in the office, he called on his mobile and expressed his views. The MLA, while speaking sharply to the officer on the phone, asked whether the land on which the tribals are extracting stones is the land of the Mining Department. When he is extracting stones from his own land then why recovery?
MLA placed this demand
The MLA said that many people around Dungarpur do the work of extracting stones on their Khatedari land. He came to me and said that the mining department is colluding with the contractors and making illegal recovery. Earlier, royalty of Rs 150 per tractor trolley was taken from the department, but now the royalty has been increased to Rs 250. He is extracting stones from the land belonging to them and building his own house, yet he is making this recovery.
He further said that people of tribal areas earn their living by breaking stones. The mining department is troubled due to illegal recovery. The MLA has demanded that collection on Khatedari land in tribal areas should be stopped. This will provide relief to the economically weak tribal people here.
