Narayanpur News: STF Jawan Nitesh Ekka was martyred in a police-Naxalite encounter in Abujhmad of Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday. Today, the state’s Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma paid tribute to the Jawan and shouldered his mortal remains and sent him to his native village.

Jawan Nitesh Ekka, a resident of Jashpur, was given a guard of honour at the 4th battalion present at Mana Airport in Raipur on Sunday morning. During this, Chief Minister of the state Vishnu Dev Sai, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, MLA Motilal Sahu, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja and top officials of the administration were present.

After paying tribute to the martyred soldier, the Chief Minister also met the family members of the martyred soldier and consoled them, after which he reached the hospital and met two soldiers injured in this encounter and enquired about their well-being.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that in the encounter with Naxalites in Abujhmad of Narayanpur district on Saturday, the soldiers showed their courage and killed eight Naxalites, although unfortunately in this encounter STF jawan Nitesh Ekka was martyred and two soldiers were injured.

CM Sai said that the martyrdom of the soldiers will not go in vain, the Naxalites will definitely get a befitting reply for this attack. The Chief Minister said that Naxalites are constantly being appealed to give up the path of violence and return to the mainstream. Here, the Chief Minister shouldered the mortal remains of martyred soldier Nitesh Ekka and sent him to his native village. During this, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the martyred soldier by offering a flower garland.

In fact, martyred constable Nitesh Ekka of STF posted on the Naxal front was a resident of Jashpur district. On June 12, a joint force of DRG, STF and BSF had left for anti-Naxal operation in Farasbeda-Dhurbeda area of ​​Narayanpur district.

During the operation on Saturday, June 15, the Naxalites started indiscriminate firing on the security forces and in retaliation, eight Maoists were killed by the soldiers, during which two security personnel were injured and one soldier Nitesh Ekka was martyred.
