The foundations built in the colony being cut near the Gola river in Kichha area of ​​​​Udham Singh Nagar district were demolished by the District Authority. Along with this, the electricity department cut off the electricity connection of nine houses. After the action of the District Authority, there has been a stir among the land mafia.

The district authority raided the illegal plotting going on on the banks of the Gaula river on the old Bareilly road in the Kichha area of ​​Udham Singh Nagar district and bulldozed it. The district authority bulldozed the colony and demolished the foundations built in the colony and the boundary walls built on both sides of the road.

On the instructions of the authority, the electricity department cut off the electricity connections of nine houses built in the colony. District Authority Secretary Pankaj Kumar Upadhyay said that an illegal colony is being built on five acres of land on the river bank on the old Bareilly Road of Kichha. Today, the team of the District Authority and the administration took joint action and demolished the boundary, many foundations and other constructions on both sides of the road. He said that our campaign against illegal colonies will continue in the future as well.

Colony residents raised questions on the action of the administration

The colony residents alleged that when the colony is cut, the officials remain asleep, but as soon as the common man buys land and builds a house, the officials arrive with bulldozers. They said that after completing the entire legal process, the electricity department had given us connections, but today suddenly the connections have been cut, where should we go?
