CM Bhajan Lal Sharma make committee to investigate formation of new districts Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot | Investigation was set up on the decision to create new districts during Gehlot government, Deputy CM said

Rajasthan News: In the previous Ashok Gehlot government of Rajasthan, 19 new districts were created for which notification was issued, while three new districts were also announced in October just before the elections but their notification did not come. CM Bhajan Lal Sharma’s government has decided to conduct an inquiry on the issue of creation of new districts. Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa said that there were many flaws in the way new districts were created in a hurry.

Talking to news agency ANI, Prem Chand Bhairava said, “When the previous government hastily created new districts, there were many flaws in them. Our CM realized this and formed a committee for this. This committee will submit a report to us after investigation. We will talk to every common man. We will put forward the flaws and shortcomings pointed out by them in front of the CM.”

These 19 districts were created during the Gehlot government
It was announced to create 19 new districts in Rajasthan in August 2023. Under this, Anupgarh, Balotra, Beawar, Deeg, Dudu, Jaipur North, Jaipur South, Jodhpur East, Jodhpur West, Gangapur City, Kekri, Kotputli, Behror, Khairtal, Neemkathana, Sanchore, Phalodi, Salumber and Shahpura were made new districts, with which the number of districts in Rajasthan increased to 50. Also, three divisions Banswara, Sikar and Pali were created.

The matter of these three districts is stuck
At the same time, just before the elections, in the month of October, the then CM Ashok Gehlot had announced to make Malpura, Sujangarh and Kuchaman City as new districts. Gehlot had said that as per the demand of the public and the recommendation of the high level committee, three more districts will be created in Rajasthan. However, due to the gazette notification of these three districts not being issued, the current CM Bhajanlal Sharma had to take a decision on this. But his government has ordered an inquiry into the creation of the districts.
