Chris Gayle’s world record broken by hitting 18 sixes, an unknown player scored the fastest century in T20

New Delhi. Although the batsmen may not be seen doing explosive batting in the ICC T20 World Cup, but one batsman of the tournament made a world record. Estonian batsman Sahil Chauhan made the record of the fastest T20 century in just 27 balls in an international match against host Cyprus in Episkopi on Monday. During this innings, he also set the record of hitting the most number of sixes i.e. 18.

Chauhan broke Yan-Nicole Lofty Eaton’s record for the fastest T20 international century. Yan-Nicole scored a century in 33 balls and their record lasted for less than four months. It is also the fastest century in T20. Chauhan surpassed Chris Gayle’s century scored in 30 balls in IPL 2013.
