China Taiwan Conflict News: Amidst the ongoing tension with Taiwan, China has taken another step, which has increased the dispute between the two countries. According to the report of Taiwan News, China’s Civil Aviation Administration has recently issued permission for the cities of Xiamen and Fuzhou. The launch of a new air route has been announced.
These are located close to the Taiwan-controlled islands of Kinmen and Matsu. Taiwan has declared Slack as restricted airspace. The controversy has increased due to China’s new air space near these areas.
What is the matter?
This was revealed on Friday (April 19). Dragon’s new air space is connected to the M503 flight route which crosses the sensitive midline of the Gulf of Taiwan. This line is considered the unofficial border between the two countries and both China and Taiwan have been avoiding flying fighter planes here.
According to Taiwan News, Damien Simon, an open-source intelligence researcher, uploaded a map on February 1 highlighting this new route. Simon emphasized that the changed routes come close to the Air Force’s military patrol areas. These can serve as strategic buffer zones for fighter planes of the People’s Liberation Army. This will make it easier to cause harm to Taiwan.
What is the basic dispute between China and Taiwan?
Actually Taiwan was earlier a part of China. After the Second World War, a sovereign government is running in Taiwan and elections are held regularly. On the other hand, China is following the path of One China Policy. Under this, he considers Taiwan as a part of his country. On the other hand, Taiwan considers itself a sovereign nation. There has been a conflict going on between the two countries over this issue for 73 years.
There is a distance of only 100 miles between the two countries. Taiwan is very close to the coast of south-eastern China. In such a situation, news of conflict keeps coming to the fore. China also continuously intrudes into Taiwan’s maritime border. China does not want any kind of foreign interference on the issue of Taiwan. Along with this, China keeps trying to take control of Taiwan again.
