Chhattisgarh News: With the aim of promoting tourism in Bastar of Chhattisgarh, now an eco tourist resort will be constructed at the famous Kosarteda reservoir at a cost of about Rs 3.5 crore keeping in mind the convenience of tourists.
Now tourists coming to Bastar from all over the world will be able to enjoy the Kosarteda reservoir and stay in the eco resort that is going to be built here. Actually, till now there was no arrangement for tourists to stay here, but seeing the number of tourists coming to see this reservoir continuously, the tourism department has now decided to build an eco tourist resort here. It is being told that the construction work of the resort will be started in the coming few months.
Kosarteda reservoir lacks facilities
Actually, the Kosarteda dam in Salemeta of Bastar district is full of water throughout the year. The Water Resources Department has also built a park in the premises of this reservoir. Tourists visiting Bastar from the country and abroad and from other districts of Chhattisgarh come here to enjoy the Kosarteda reservoir along with Chitrakote, Tirathgarh and Kanger Valley National Park. But due to lack of any kind of facility for tourists here, tourists are not able to stay here. Motorboats have also been started to promote tourism in the Kosarteda reservoir, but after staying here for some time, the tourists go back from here.
In such a situation, the tourism department is now going to build an eco tourist resort to expand the facilities for tourists in Kosarteda reservoir and Rs 3.5 crore will be spent for this. According to the information received from the officials of the Water Resources Department, the tender process for the eco tourism resort has also started. Officials believe that the construction of an eco resort in Kosarteda will definitely increase the number of tourists coming here and they will also get better facilities here. At present, there is a lack of facilities for tourists here.
Eco tourist resort in Bastar is getting good response
Bastar Collector Vijay Dayaram says that the tourism department has built an eco tourism resort near Chitrakote waterfall. It is getting a good response from tourists from India and abroad. Not only during the season but even on normal days, tourists from outside visit this resort by booking online. The construction of an eco tourist resort at Kosarteda reservoir will definitely boost tourism in Bastar and more and more tourists will be able to reach Bastar and enjoy these famous waterfalls as well as Kosarteda reservoir.
