Chemical Leak Caused By Train Overturning In US City Of Kentucky Emergency In City

A train overturned in America’s Kentucky city due to leakage of deadly chemicals. City Governor Andy Beshear has declared a state of emergency in the city due to the accident that occurred on Wednesday.

Due to the accident, 16 coaches of the train have derailed. Molten sulfur was kept in two coaches of the train, which caught fire at the time of the accident. According to America’s news channel ABC, sulfur dioxide is released due to fire in molten sulphur.

Officials appealed to the local people to stay away from the incident site. CSX, the company that manages the train, has said that it is trying to normalize the situation in collaboration with local authorities.

The company said, we are continuously working to normalize the situation. We are taking the help of local authorities in this work. We are committed to the safety of citizens. The company said that they are providing food from local restaurants to eat in the affected areas.

What did the city governor say?

“We are using all of the state’s resources to protect people’s safety,” the Kentucky governor wrote in a post on Twitter.
