Chandu Champion Heading For A Box Office Disaster Day One Collection Is Far Below The Average Expectations – Entertainment News: Amar Ujala

When director Kabir Khan’s last film ’83’ was about to release, the most talked about film was its opening, not whether it did well or not. People believed that if the film’s collection was below Rs 20 crore, it would be a flop. That is what happened. Now, people are also believing the same about Kabir’s new film ‘Chandu Champion’ that if the film’s collection was below Rs 15 crore, it would be a difficult matter and the film’s opening on the first day was so low that no one can predict what would happen in the future. The first day collection of the film ‘Chandu Champion’ was even less than Kartik’s super flop film ‘Shehzada’.

The film ‘Chandu Champion’, which was released on June 14, is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Kabir Khan, who has made films like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Tubelight’. Kabir Khan’s new film ‘Chandu Champion’ is based on the story of Padma Shri winner Muralikant Petkar and Kartik Aaryan has played the character of Muralikant in it. Kartik Aaryan’s work in the film is very good and the film is also good but this film does not meet the standards of commercial cinema.

Chandu Champion Review: Kartik Aaryan’s strong acting won hearts, read where the film failed apart from the story

‘Chandu Champion’, made as an artistic film, will always be counted as one of Karthik’s best films as an actor, but it is doubtful whether this film will be counted among Karthik’s successful films. The film has earned around Rs 4.75 crore on the first day of its release and this is very less as compared to its cost of around Rs 140 crore. This is the opening of the film when the tickets of this film were available for Rs 150 on the first day of its release. The main reason behind the film’s poor opening is believed to be the viral photoshopped photo of Karthik on social media just before the release of the film.

None of Kartik Aaryan’s films have been a hit since his film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ released two years ago. The film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, released on 20 May 2022, earned Rs 55.96 crore in the first weekend and Rs 92.05 crore in the first week after taking an opening of Rs 14.11 crore. This film, which managed to earn around Rs 186 crore at the domestic box office, is considered the biggest hit of Kartik’s career.

After the film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, the film ‘Shehzada’ which was released on 17th February last year had an opening of 6 crores and after earning 20 crores in the first weekend, the film became a flop from Monday itself. The film which could earn only 26 crores in the first week, its total domestic box office collection was only 32.20 crores. The film ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ which was released after this flop film had an opening of 9.25 crores but could earn a total of 77.55 crores but this film could not get the title of a hit.
