A fire broke out in the basement of Advanced Eye Center of Chandigarh PGI on Monday morning. According to preliminary information, the fire broke out at 9 am due to a short circuit in the basement. On receiving information about this, fire safety personnel reached the spot. Efforts are being made to control the fire.

The office of the electrical department is in the basement of the Advanced Eye Centre. It is also being said that the building of Advanced Eye Center has been built with modern technology. In such a situation, the incident of fire there is raising many questions.

Just 6 days ago, there was a massive fire in PGI’s Nehru Hospital. In which more than 400 patients were rescued and taken out. Till now the investigation committee of PGI is busy investigating the causes of that accident. Meanwhile, the fire in the Advanced High Center has further increased the problem.
