India-Canada relations: Canadian High Commissioner Cameron Mackey has made serious allegations against India. He has said that India had targeted many people in America and Canada simultaneously. This was part of one of their conspiracies. Canadian High Commissioner Cameron Mackay left India in August after completing his tenure.
America has accused a former Indian officer of ‘conspiring to murder’ New York-based Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Whereas Canada has also accused the Indian government of the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Mackey, who left India in August, said, “The Indian government thinks that its agents can get away with violence in Canada and America.”
‘India made a big mistake’
Calling it a huge strategic mistake by the Indian government, McKay said, “The Indian government thinking that its agents could commit violent crimes in North America and get away with it was a huge strategic mistake. I think some These people have been caught because of mistakes. I am talking about the incidents that happened in both America and Canada.
He further said, ‘India has crossed its red line. This will also harm the Indian brand.”
‘It will take time to improve relations’
Taking aim at India, he said, “Improving diplomatic relations with Canada is not on India’s agenda at present. In such a situation, it will take time for relations between the two countries to normalize.” He further said, “India is a democratic country. Canada and other countries want to have better relations with India. Strategically both the countries are dependent on each other. But the kind of behavior we have seen from the Indian government, It has raised a lot of questions. That’s why Canada has had to take this action.”
