Canada: Religious harmony in Canada is in danger, which is confirmed by some recent incidents. Recently, Khalistani supporters gathered in Canada and raised slogans like ‘Hindus of Canada go back’. Khalistani supporters had gathered at the site of the annual India Day Parade.

This event was organized by the separatist group Sikh for Justice (SFJ) on August 18, 2024 at the site of the annual India Day Parade. A few days before this incident, some posters were seen in Canada in which Khalistanis and Canadian Hindus were shown against each other.

Hindus got the support of the opposition leader

The Hindu community, which has been targeted by Khalistanis in Canada, has got the support of the opposition leader and Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre. Pierre Poilievre objected to the slogans raised against Hindus and strongly condemned the act of Khalistani supporters. Pierre Poilievre said, ‘Such activity against any religion and sect will not be tolerated at all in Canada.’

What did Pierre Poilievre say?

On Friday (September 13), Pierre Poilievre addressed the media in the Greater Toronto Area. During this, he said, ‘Hindus have every right to worship, raise their families and live peacefully in Canada without any fear or threat.’ Earlier also, while supporting the Hindus, he had said that Hindus have also contributed significantly to the development of Canada.

Justin Trudeau targeted

Pierre Poilievre also targeted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Poilievre said, ‘It feels very bad that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has divided the people of our country. We all have lived together in this country but now everyone is fighting against each other filled with hatred. There is a need to bring everyone together through people’s faith, freedom of families and patriotism.’

Hindu Chamber of Commerce also expressed displeasure

The Canadian Hindu Chamber of Commerce also supported the statements of opposition leader Pierre Poilievre. Chamber President Kushagra Dutt Sharma said, ‘Hindus living in Canada are also an integral part of the country. We also have the right to live our lives and follow our beliefs with complete freedom without any discrimination and pressure.
