MP Assembly Bye Election 2024: After the completion of the by-election on Amarwada seat of Chhindwara district, now the Bharatiya Janata Party has started preparations for the by-elections to be held on Budhni and Vijaypur assembly seats of Sehore district. BJP has appointed in-charge and co-in-charge for both the seats.
According to BJP State General Secretary and Office Incharge Bhagwan Das Sabnani, BJP State President and MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma has announced the names of incharges for the by-elections to be held on Assembly 156 Budhni and 2 Vijaypur Assembly seats.
According to the announcement, state revenue minister Karan Singh Verma has been made in-charge for Budhni assembly constituency of Sehore district, while former minister Rampal Singh has been made co-in-charge. Similarly, minister Andal Singh Kansana has been made in-charge for Vijaypur assembly constituency, while Narendra Birathre has been made co-in-charge.
Former CM Shivraj vacated the seat
Let us tell you that former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan had been becoming MLA from Budhni assembly seat for the last 5 times. In the 2023 elections also, Shivraj Singh Chauhan won from Budhni assembly seat, but after winning the Lok Sabha elections from Vidisha parliamentary seat, Shivraj Singh Chauhan has resigned from the post of MLA, since then this seat is vacant, on which by-election is now to be held.
Rawat joined BJP
Similarly, if we talk about Vijaypur assembly seat, then in the 2023 elections, Ramniwas Rawat won the election on this seat on a Congress ticket, but Lok Sabha Elections Former CM Ramniwas Rawat joined BJP and now he has also become a minister. He resigned from the post of MLA, after which this seat is also vacant. Now by-elections are to be held on Budhni and Vijaypur assembly seats.
