British PM Rishi Sunak and wife Akshata Murty prayed at London BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir for victory in Britain Election 2024

Britain Election 2024 : There are elections in Britain on July 4. Politicians are leaving no stone unturned to woo voters. Now British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is also visiting temples with his wife Akshata Murthy. According to a report by news agency PTI, in the last week of campaigning, both of them went to pray at BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in London. This temple is also known as Neasden Temple. British PM Sunak was given a grand welcome at the temple premises on Saturday evening. During this, he also interacted with the volunteers. At the temple, he said, I am also a cricket lover. Sunak started his address with India’s T20 World Cup victory. He said that India played a very good World Cup and congratulated the Indian team on the victory.

‘I am a Hindu, I take inspiration from my religion’
Sunak then talked about the inspiration he gets from religion. He said that I am a Hindu and like all of you, I also get inspiration and solace from my religion. I am proud to take oath as a Member of Parliament on the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. Our religion teaches us to do our duty. He said, one should not worry about any result. We should just complete our work with honesty. Regarding his religion, Sunak said that this is what my beloved parents have taught and this is how I live my life and this is what I want to give to my daughters when they grow up, it is this religion that guides me in my approach to public service.

Praised his wife and mother-in-law
According to Sky News report, the British Prime Minister also talked about the work of his mother-in-law Sudha Murthy in India. He also praised his wife. Sunak said that I want to thank all of you for your love. You have been with me at every step. I have felt your support in the most difficult days, and I know how proud it is to be a British Prime Minister. I will never disappoint you.
