Britain’s King Charles III accompanied Queen Camilla on a three-day visit to India for recuperation. To improve his health after cancer surgery in February, he adopted many Indian medical methods including yoga and meditation at a health center in Bangalore. He was staying at Saukya, the International Holistic Health Center in Samathanahalli near Whitefield in Bengaluru. This was his first visit to the city after his coronation as King of the United Kingdom on May 6 last year.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said in London on Wednesday that the royal couple took a break in India amid their long journey on their way back to Britain from the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in Samoa. They are returning to Britain this morning (Wednesday). According to an official, the royal couple had arrived at the Soukya Health Center on October 27 and stayed for three days.

King reached India after cancer surgery

Let us tell you that 75 year old King Charles had cancer surgery in February. Even after this his health remains unhealthy. King had planned to come here after his chemotherapy sessions on the advice of his medical team. King Charles got many treatments related to homeopathy, Ayurveda and naturopathy here. Soukya, where the royal couple stayed, is famous for its refreshing healing treatments. Yoga, meditation sessions and various types of therapies are offered at this center which helps in relaxation and improvement in health. Saukya is run by Dr Isaac Mathai. Mathai has been one of the invited guests from India at the coronation of King Charles.

The royal couple liked South Indian food

The royal couple stayed in the Presidential Royal Room in the centre. They were given South Indian food. It consisted of vegetarian organic food including salads and soups. During the royal couple’s stay at the centre, all the vegetables, eggs and coconut water came from organic farms. His morning routine started with a yoga and meditation session. After having breakfast, both of them used to go for therapy session before lunch. After resting for some time, his therapy session continued again, followed by dinner and a meditation session before going to bed at nine in the night.

Walked on the grass, planted Jacaranda sapling

According to the official, the royal couple also enjoyed a long walk around the 30-acre healthcare facility. Walked on the grass and felt connected to nature. Along with this, they also visited organic farms, cowsheds and medicinal gardens. He planted a Jacaranda tree at a place in the middle of the campus. Even before this, King Charles had come here to celebrate his 71st birthday in 2019. Then he planted Champaka sapling here.

King Charles is a fan of Ayurveda

King Charles has been a fan of Ayurveda for years. King has been associated with it for the last 30-40 years and was also the patron of the British Association for Holistic Medicine and Healthcare. He is the patron of the Faculty of Homeopathy, so he has a great interest in it and he also believes in it. This is why during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Britain in 2018, he was present at the launch of a new Ayurvedic Center of Excellence at the Science Museum in London.
