BJP leader Jairam Thakur accuses CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of corruption

Himachal Pradesh News: Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Jairam Thakur has accused Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government of corruption. Jairam Thakur also said that the Congress government will create a record of scams. Addressing the media in Dehra on Wednesday, Jairam Thakur said that there have been reports that all rules were ignored in the Marketing Board’s Rs 7 crore tender, while the concerned officials had recommended inviting the tender again.

Jairam Thakur alleged, “The contract was given in the absence of key officials and the managing director. Corruption is at its peak in the state government led by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and it seems that this government, which has not done any development work, is going to set a record of scams.” By-elections for Dehra, Hamirpur and Nalagarh assembly seats will be held on July 10.

Also accused of dictatorship
These seats have fallen vacant after three independent MLAs who voted in favour of BJP in the Rajya Sabha elections held in February resigned from the assembly and joined the party. Jairam Thakur had earlier accused CM Sukhu of dictatorship. He said that the CM repeatedly passes the bill of by-elections on BJP while in reality by-elections are being held due to the functioning of CM Sukhu.

Former independent MLAs are being harassed
Jairam Thakur has also accused the government of harassing former independent MLAs. He said that the current government is harassing the family, friends and relatives of former MLAs using its machinery. Thakur said that they are being harassed for voting in support of BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan in the Rajya Sabha elections.
