A BJP core group meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of BJP national president JP Nadda regarding the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections. During this, the election strategy was discussed. Along with this, the party’s performance in the state in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections was also reviewed. The meeting was attended by Jharkhand core group leaders, including state unit chief Babulal Marandi, former Union Minister Arjun Munda, Union Minister Annapurna Devi and Sanjay Seth.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the party’s election co-in-charge in Jharkhand, were also present at the meeting held at the party headquarters in Delhi.

Babulal Marandi spoke to reporters after the meeting concluded. He said that the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections were reviewed in the meeting. Apart from this, there was a wide discussion on the party’s strategy for the assembly elections to be held in November-December.

Assam CM said- we are going to form our government in Jharkhand

Meanwhile, Assam CM Sarma told reporters, we have achieved significant achievements in the Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand. This has created confidence in our team. We are going to form our government in the state. He said, for this everyone will have to work together and move forward as per the party’s strategy. He said that Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President will visit Jharkhand in view of the elections.

Will try to win Dumka seat in future: Sarma

When asked about BJP candidate Sita Soren Murmu blaming party leaders for her defeat in Dumka Lok Sabha election, Sarma said, “She lost the election by a narrow margin. We are saddened by this. We will try to ensure that we win this seat in future.” He said, the credit for the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) victory by significant margins in the nine Lok Sabha seats of the state should go to the BJP’s Jharkhand team.
