UP Lok Sabha Election 2024: BJP has made Parasnath Rai its candidate from Ghazipur while Afzal Ansari is the candidate from SP. Both Parasnath Rai and Afzal Ansari are constantly attacking each other. While Afzal Ansari is calling BJP candidate Parasnath Rai a copycat mafia in every public meeting and is calling his brother Mukhtar Ansari a messiah, Parasnath is calling Mukhtar a terrorist and a terrorist.
In fact, during an election public meeting, Afzal Ansari had asked the people whether they have ever seen the BJP candidate in this village, to which people replied that they had not seen him. Afzal is also taunting Parasnath Rai by calling him Manoj Sinha’s pocket man. While retaliating against Afzal, Parasnath Rai mentioned an incident.
Afzal accused of switching parties
He said that Afzal Ansari has been an MP for five years and he should have visited the villages. Referring to an incident related to Mulayam Singh Yadav, he said that Akhilesh Yadav, who has given ticket to Afzal Ansari, his father Mulayam Singh Yadav, stayed in his college for 15 consecutive days and he used to sleep with everyone at the post there. Mulayam Singh used to eat and drink water only from the batasha kept for the common workers. When he was asked to put a mattress at the post, he refused and kept sleeping at the post for 15 days. At that time the respective elections of Jakhanian and Malihabad were taking place.
Further hitting back at Afzal, he also accused him of repeatedly switching parties for his own selfish reasons. He further said that you yourself had made a deal with Mulayam Singh that if he gives grant to your college, you will leave the Communist Party and join the Samajwadi Party. Mulayam Singh Yadav gave a grant to his college by breaking the rules and it was written below that this should not be considered an example so that no other government can give such a grant in future. You always made small deals for your political interests and sometimes joined BSP and sometimes joined SP.
Who is Parasnath Rai challenging Afzal?
Parasnath Rai is a resident of Sikhadi village of Manihari block and is a teacher by profession and is also the manager of his school. Born on January 2, 1955, Parasnath Rai has been associated with the Sangh for a long time. Parasnath Rai is considered close to Manoj Sinha and Most people believe that it is because of Manoj Sinha that he has got the green signal to contest elections from Ghazipur.
