Bihar Weather Today 2 July Tuesday IMD Alerts for Heavy Rain and Thunderstroke in 13 Districts of Bihar Patna ANN

Bihar Weather News 02 July 2024: Patna Meteorological Center has issued an alert for many districts of Bihar. There is a possibility of rain in almost all the districts of the state on Tuesday (02 July) but heavy rainfall warning has been issued in many cities. There is a possibility of heavy rain in 13 districts including the capital Patna. People have been advised not to go out of the house unnecessarily.

How will the weather be today,

According to Patna IMD, in these 13 districts, Jamui, Lakhisarai and Banka have been warned of very heavy rain with thunderstorms while Patna, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Munger, Gopalganj, Siwan, Jehanabad, Arwal, Buxar and Bhojpur have been warned of heavy rain with thunderstorms. According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued for rain with thunderstorms in Jamui, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Purnia and Katihar districts from early Tuesday morning.

Strong winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour at some places in Siwan, Gopalganj, Patna, Bhojpur, Buxar and Nalanda. Lightning and thunderstorm warning has also been issued. According to the Meteorological Center Patna, a trough line is passing from North Punjab at 0.9 kilometers above sea level through North Haryana, North Uttar Pradesh and North Bihar to Mizoram. At the same time, another trough line is passing from North East Arabian Sea to South Gujarat at 5.8 kilometers above sea level to North West Bihar. Due to the effect of all these factors, there is a possibility of active rainfall in the whole of Bihar for the next three days.

Rajgir recorded the highest temperature

With the onset of monsoon in the state, the temperature has dropped considerably. On Monday, the highest temperature was recorded at 39.6 degrees Celsius in Rajgir, Nalanda. The temperature in the capital Patna was 36.01 degrees Celsius. Araria has received the highest rainfall of 93.02 mm. On the other hand, Purnia received 84.02 mm, Madhepura 71.4 mm, Vaishali 60.2 mm, Madhubani 53.4 mm, Gopalganj 52.5 mm and Muzaffarpur received moderate rainfall of 48.02 mm.
