Supaul Firing In Land Dispute: One person was killed and another seriously injured on Tuesday (23 July) night due to a land dispute in Dahriya Panchayat of Chhatapur police station area of Supaul district. Police said that 35-year-old Ramkumar Yadav was shot dead during a land dispute in Ward-09, while 45-year-old Pramod Yadav was also shot and seriously injured.
Police admitted the injured to the hospital
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and admitted both the injured to CHC Chhatapur, where the doctor on duty, Dr. Ashish Kumar, declared Ramkumar Yadav dead, while Pramod Yadav was referred to Sadar Hospital Supaul for better treatment. Pramod Yadav has been shot in the arm and his condition is said to be critical.
According to the police, there was a land dispute going on for a long time between Vinod Yadav and his younger brother Pramod Yadav. Pramod’s family members said that 15 days ago, a settlement was reached between the two brothers in the Panchayat and Pramod was building a house on the said land. This incident happened while building the house, in which Ramkumar Yadav, who is said to be Pramod Yadav’s brother-in-law, died. The police is investigating the matter thoroughly and has assured to arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
Brother’s brother-in-law lost his life in the incident
There is chaos among the family members after the incident. It is said that when the dispute started, Pramod Yadav’s brother-in-law Ramkumar Yadav came to intervene. During this time, he was shot in the firing. There was a lot of chaos after the incident. Local people tried to save Ramkumar Yadav, but he died before reaching the hospital. The police is investigating the entire matter.
