Chief Minister said – flood victims should not face any kind of problem

While giving instructions to the officials, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the Water Resources Department should remain fully prepared and keep monitoring continuously. District Magistrates should continuously monitor the water level in flood affected areas. The disaster management department continues to monitor what else needs to be done so that people do not face any problems. The Chief Minister said that the disaster victims have the first right on the state treasury. Make complete arrangements for boat operation, polythene sheets, availability and distribution of relief material, medicines, animal fodder, flood shelter sites, community kitchens, dry ration packets/food packets, District Emergency Operation Center etc. in flood affected areas and provide all kinds of assistance to the people. Provide relief. In areas where there is difficulty in delivering relief material, food packets and relief material should be air dropped to the affected families with the help of the Air Force.

Flood havoc continues in Bihar. In the last 24 hours, two lakh more people from 16 districts have been affected by the floods. That is, till now about 12 lakh people of 76 blocks of East Champaran, West Champaran, Araria, Kishanganj, Gopalganj, Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Supaul, Madhepura, Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Saran, Saharsa, and Katihar are now affected by floods. Here, Modi government has given flood relief package of Rs 656 crore to Bihar. This is the first installment of the relief item. At the same time, dry ration packets have been dropped with the help of the Air Force in the water-surrounded villages of Sitamarhi and Darbhanga. Crops grown in 2.25 lakh hectares have been destroyed due to floods.
