CPIML Attacks On CM Nitish Kumar: After the recent meeting of NITI Aayog, the political fervour in the country has increased. CPI (ML), a constituent party of India Block, has claimed that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not attend the meeting of NITI Aayog due to embarrassment over the Centre’s refusal to grant special category status to Bihar. The party also criticized the NDA-led central government for misleading the people on the special package and has announced a protest march next month.
Mehboob Alam targeted the CM
JDU leaders were silent on the absence of party president Nitish Kumar in the NITI Aayog meeting held in Delhi on Saturday. In fact, CM Nitish had called a party meeting in Patna on Saturday to discuss preparations for the assembly elections in neighboring state Jharkhand. Due to this, he could not go, but CPI (ML) leader in Bihar Assembly Mehboob Alam said that the CM did not attend the meeting due to embarrassment over the Center’s refusal to grant special category status to Bihar.
He told PTI that the CM should have attended this crucial meeting. He has once again missed an opportunity to demand special category status for Bihar and include the state’s revised reservation laws in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution. The Ninth Schedule contains a list of central and state laws that cannot be challenged in court.
What did CPI leader Ajit Kumar say?
Another CPI(ML) MLA Ajit Kumar Singh has also expressed similar views. Ajit Kumar Singh said that the CM’s decision to not attend the Niti Aayog meeting shows that he has no concern for the welfare of the people of Bihar.
