Shopkeeper Beaten In Begusarai: These days the morale of criminals in Bihar is at its peak. To stop crime, meetings are being held between the state head and police officers and guidelines are also being given, but crime is not stopping. Criminals are not refraining from committing crimes on small issues. The latest case is from Begusarai district, where a shopkeeper was beaten with the butt of a pistol on a minor issue and was badly injured. The victim is being treated in Sadar Hospital.
The shopkeeper was badly injured
The whole matter is of Tajpur of Bhagwanpur police station area of the district. It is said that Budhan Rai used to run a shop in Tajpur to support himself and his family. Late in the evening on Monday (22 July), Budhan Rai was sitting at his shop as usual, at that time a person riding a bike came and asked for cigarettes from Budhan Rai. After giving cigarettes, when the shopkeeper asked for money for the cigarettes, he said give me on credit, when he refused to give on credit, the shopkeeper was beaten badly with the butt of a pistol.
When there was a commotion at the shop, Budhan Rai’s wife reached the shop and saw that her husband was being beaten up. When she came forward to save her husband, Budhan Rai’s wife Neelam Devi was also beaten and injured. After getting injured, she reached Sadar Hospital in the evening and got herself treated. The injured Budhan Rai said that criminals came on a bike, who were drunk, he asked for cigarettes on credit and we refused to give them on credit. As soon as we refused, he took out a pistol from his waist and hit me on the head with its butt. After which I fell at the shop itself. When my wife came after hearing the commotion at the shop, she was also beaten and injured.
What does the police say in the matter?
When Teghra SDPO Ravindra Mohan was talked to on this matter, he expressed ignorance about the incident, he said that the police station has no information in this regard, if the police station is informed through the injured, then the police will take necessary action on it. Regarding the incident, he said that the incident is not in his knowledge, yet the police station has been instructed to get information about the incident and take action on it.
