New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami is ready to return to the field after recovering from injury. The stalwart, who was out of the team since the 2023 ODI World Cup final, is going to make a comeback. He will play for Bengal against Madhya Pradesh in Ranji Trophy. Mohammed Shami intends to make a comeback in Team India after proving his fitness.

India’s star fast bowler Mohammed Shami is all set to make a comeback. Almost a year after the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia, he will play for Bengal against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy match. Shami has been included in the team before this match to be held at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.

Shami was away from competitive cricket due to ankle surgery earlier this year. Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) said, “Shami’s inclusion in the team will not only be a big boost but will also boost the morale of the entire team, which aims to reach the next round of Ranji Trophy.”

Last month, Shami was seen bowling in the nets during the series between India and New Zealand. He bowled to Shubhman Gill and assistant coach Abhishek Nair in the nets. He had a heavy bandage on his knee and bowling coach Morne Morkel was keeping an eye on him. He was not included in India’s 18-member Test squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
